Understanding the Role of the Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit, often overlooked, is a vital member of the Trinity. He is not merely a force or power, but a person with a distinct role in the life of a believer.

The Indwelling Presence

When we accept Jesus Christ as our Savior, the Holy Spirit comes to reside within us (Romans 8:9). This indwelling presence is a constant companion and guide.

1. John 14:16-17 - “And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate, to be with you forever-the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him, for he lives with you and will be in you.”

The Counselor and Teacher
